Iconographic Commentary & Symbolism
Goddess Gaja Lakshmi is seated in a poised posture on a lotus and is worshipped by two celestial elephants with golden pots of milk. The lotus stems from sacred waters bearing huge lotus leaves flanked on either side of the devi and create a balance in the composition.
